Dental care should be for everyone.
SmileSafe AI was built on a simple belief: a healthy smile shouldn't depend on where you live, how much you earn, or whether you can navigate the healthcare system. We're making the first step to dental care as easy as taking a photo.
From a clinic in Ukraine — to a platform for everyone.
Viktoriia Filieieva opened her own dental practice in Ukraine years before SmileSafe was a name on a slide. As a practicing dentist, she saw the same pattern over and over: patients arriving too late, with problems that started small and grew because seeing a dentist felt difficult.
The barriers weren't always financial. Older patients didn't know who to call. Parents put their kids' check-ups off because the booking process was a maze. People in vulnerable communities — those without insurance, without time, without a regular doctor — fell through the cracks first.
She kept thinking: what if checking your teeth was as easy as checking the weather? What if a person could see, in their own language, in their own time, whether something needed attention — and book the right dentist in two taps?
That idea followed her across borders. When she rebuilt her life and career in the United States, the question only got louder. New country, new system, new language for many of her patients — and the same broken first step.
SmileSafe AI is her answer. A scanning kiosk you'll find in pharmacies, schools, senior centers and community spaces. An AI that gives you a clear, plain-language read on your dental health. And a network of verified dentists ready to take you from "I think something's wrong" to a confirmed appointment — without a single phone call.
"Every person deserves to walk into a dentist's office knowing what to expect. Not afraid. Not lost in paperwork. Just informed, welcomed, and seen."
— Dr. Viktoriia FilieievaThree things we believe.
Everything we build comes back to these. They're written above the desks, they're in our hiring decisions, and they shape every feature that ships.
Access first.
The first dental check should be free, friendly, and available where people already are — not behind a phone tree, a portal, or a 3-week wait. Pharmacies, schools, malls, community centers.
Plain language.
Reports in your own language — English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian — without medical jargon. You'll know what's healthy, what's worth watching, and what needs attention now. No fear, no fluff.
Doctors first too.
Verified independent dentists get a steady flow of pre-screened patients with AI scans already on file. No call center. No commission games. Just a better booking pipeline that respects their time.
Not a clinic. Not a directory. A first step.
SmileSafe doesn't replace your dentist — it gets you to one. The AI scan is a screening, not a diagnosis. Only a licensed dentist can diagnose and treat.
What we do: we remove the friction in the moment when somebody first thinks "maybe I should get this looked at." That moment is where dental care quietly fails most people. We meet them there.
For patients
Scan in 60 seconds. Get a clear AI report with severity levels and a tooth-by-tooth chart. Pick a verified dentist who speaks your language. Book a slot in two taps.
For dentists
Patients arrive with their AI scan attached. You see the chart, the findings, the language preference, and the booking — all on a single dashboard. New leads come through SmileSafe, not just from your clinic's phone.
For communities
Senior centers, schools, pharmacies and clinics can host a SmileSafe kiosk. Underserved populations get a low-pressure way to start the conversation about their dental health.
A long road, a clear direction.
A private practice opens
Dr. Filieieva opens her own dental clinic. Years of seeing patients who hesitated, postponed, or came in too late shaped the question that became SmileSafe.
Building again, from zero
After leaving Ukraine, Dr. Filieieva starts over. The challenge of accessing healthcare in a new country — for herself and the immigrant families she encounters — sharpens the mission.
AI meets dental screening
Advances in computer vision finally make it realistic to do a meaningful pre-screen of dental health from photos. The kiosk concept — friendly, fast, multilingual — takes shape.
From idea to product
The first version of SmileSafe AI goes live. Kiosks deploy in pilot locations. The dentist network begins onboarding verified partners. The dashboard, the booking flow, the multilingual report — all built and shipping.
Wider reach, deeper care
More languages. More host locations. Voice-guided scans for accessibility. Long-term tracking so families can watch their dental health improve over years, not just snapshots.
